James and Nicole’s wedding at the Brazilian Room at Tilden Park was such a picture-perfect day! Not only was the weather perfect (we were nervous about rain but the sky stayed clear!), the venue itself was breathtakingly beautiful. The ceremony site was lined with spring blooms, which perfectly complimented their navy blue color scheme and Nicole’s off-white Amy Kushel dress.
When I asked Nicole how she and James met, and how they became engaged, she told me the following. I think we can all agree this is the sweetest proposal ever!
We met over 15 years ago during exam week in high school, but didn’t connect until post graduate school in New York when James was looking for an apartment. He proposed in his apartment in New York in May 2019 when I was traveling through the city on a business trip. He told me he ordered my birthday present early, given he wouldn’t be able to make it out to San Francisco to visit. The gift was a Harry Potter chest, which I thought would be filled with Harry Potter merchandise. To my surprise, the chest was filled with pictures of our trips together, 3D sunglasses from our first movie together (Rogue One) and at the bottom of the chest was the ring!
After a sweet and lovely ceremony amidst the gorgeous trees that line the Brazilian Room, James and Nicole held their reception inside the venue, which was warmed by a massive fireplace. It was the perfect setting for the cool evening and love was definitely in the air!
Thank you so much, James and Nicole, for allowing me to capture your day – it was a gorgeous, love-filled day, and one I will remember forever!
