This downtown San Francisco engagement session is so full of urban, moody vibes, and I just LOVE it! Kathryn + Nick previously called San Francisco home, so we planned a session that would give a nod to the City by the Bay.
We started our session on top of the Shinola store in Hotaling Place, which gave us access to the most epic view of the Transamerica Pyramid! It’s always a little tricky to capture this building – if you are on the ground, you’ll find it near impossible to get a photo that includes enough of the building for it to be recognized. You could also go to a nearby pier and shoot with it in the background, but it will be mixed among the rest of the cityscape. By shooting on top of this rooftop, we were able to fill our background with its magnificent row of windows!
Our next stop was the ferry building. I had my eyes on the infamous San Francisco sign that you can only see when taking a ferry away from the city. Lucky for us, we had a clear path to capture it in the background of a few photos! As the sun dipped behind the city, we finished our session with the gorgeous Bay Bridge behind us.
We had such a fun afternoon at this downtown San Francisco engagement session!
