Jimmy + Pauline’s wedding at Ardenwood Historic Farm was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever had the pleasure to photograph! These two had not one, but three ceremonies, each unique and special in its own way.
The day started with a tea ceremony at Pauline’s grandma’s house. Jimmy arrived in a car decorated with red pom-poms and was greeted by Pauline’s brother. Together they entered the home, where Pauline came out with her father in a traditional red gown. She was absolutely stunning!
The ceremony was performed with each of Pauline’s family members, and they both drove off together in the decorated car for the second ceremony with Jimmy’s family.
Pauline wore her stunning red gown for the second ceremony and carried a red umbrella, brought with her from the first ceremony. They were gifted jewelry and red envelopes, and presented with tea, which each of Jimmy family members drank as well.
The sun poured in through big open windows and the room was lit up with beauty as the second ceremony unfolded!
Once the traditional ceremonies were complete, it was time for Pauline to get ready for the third and final ceremony (and reception!) at Ardenwood Historic Farm.
As Pauline came down the aisle, each and every guest was grinning from ear to ear. She looked absolutely beautiful in her cream gown and bouquet of eucalyptus and white roses. My favorite part of the ceremony was when Pauline and Jimmy gifted their moms with red roses.
Jimmy and Pauline had originally met online, through Coffee Meets Bagel. It didn’t take long for them to find that they had both shared interests and also different interests that complimented their personalities. Jimmy ended up proposing during a camping trip in Monterey, and the outdoors is a huge part of their relationship!
What I loved most about the reception was all of the details that spoke to their relationship. Each centerpiece was made by the couple, and each had a date that they had gone on. Instead of a guest book, they had puzzle pieces for their guests to sign. Guests were asked to write down bucket list items for the couple, and at the end of the night, the DJ randomly picked the slips and read them (and whoever was picked got to take home a centerpiece!).
Each detail was so perfectly thought out and so wonderfully sweet. Their personalities and the heart of their relationship was evident in every part of the day. These two are so wonderful together, and it was such an honor to photograph their wedding at Ardenwood Historic Farm as they celebrated their first day of marriage!
