Christina and Evan are high school sweethearts, and are tying the knot this summer at Hakone Gardens in Saratoga. If their wedding is anything like this session, I might die in photography heaven!
This east bay engagement session was stunningly beautiful, and I can only hope these photos do the scenery justice.
We met at the Sunol Regional Wilderness Preserve in Sunol, California. It is a gem of a location and one I recommend to any couples looking for outdoor photos with open space. The wildflowers were in full bloom and there were pockets of purple all throughout the fields. This evening had a hint of summer in it – the temperature was ever so slightly warm and the air smelt of fresh flowers and greenery.
We hiked up a hill to scope out the views, and were met eye to eye with a gang of cows (literally!). I regret not snapping a few photos of our new friends, but it was just so startling and unexpected!
Christina was absolutely beautiful in her off the shoulder dress, matched with Evan’s plum shirt and suspenders. When choosing outfits for an engagement session, I always encourage my couples to dress up a bit. These photos are an example why!
Christina and Evan were so wonderful, and it’s easy to see why they are getting married. They giggled together the entire session and the love they have for one another was palpable. I am beyond myself with excitement to capture their wedding in August!
